Lovely evening dinner

Another delightful dinner while cruising down the Avon. The staff are very friendly and the meal is good. They were very busy this trip (our 4th) with every table filled but they coped admirably. Well worth doing if you are in the area.

Wonderful meal

We went for what is becoming an annual Christmas cruise on the Countess. A 3 hour relaxing journey with a 4 course meal. Yet again the service was excellent. Because you get 3 hours, you have time between each course. It's very reasonably priced too.

25th wedding anniversary

We recently went on the countess of Evesham to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and had an amazing time. The food was really lovely and the staff very attentive and friendly. Would highly recommend and this was certainly a trip we will not forget.

Great evening out

A totally different way to enjoy dinner. Reasonably priced and comfortable. It was a delight. The meal was good, the waitresses friendly. We were delighted to find that the barge floodlit the canal and river banks, enabling us to spot wildlife and making the trip that bit more special. Would strongly recommend this. You do need to book in advance.

Wonderful evening

Surprises visit for me and what a treat.
All the crew were welcoming and friendly - really helpful when boarding or disembarking.
The decor is lovely and the external lighting allowed us to view the wonderful scenery as we cruised on the Avon.
The food was very good and our waitress ensured we had a great time and made the evening one to remember.
Well done all!

Romantic dinner along the Avon

We decided to go to Stratford-upon-Avon and stayed 1 night, (2 days) On research on where to go and what to do, a boat cruise was one of the things we wanted to do. The Countess of Evesham had good reviews so we booked online. Received an email quickly to say that our date was available.
The pick up point was just across the water to our hotel which was very convenient as the rain did come down hard for a while!
The Barge is nicely laid out with large windows to view the lovely scenery.
After getting some drinks, we ordered our food.
The dinner was of good quality as well as the service from our two girls working hard both behind the bar and kitchen.
Both always smiling, even the two other members of staff getting soaked to the skin navigating the locks as we went through them seemed to be enjoying themselves!
On average per person with drinks will be around £50.
A 3 course dinner with drinks plus a 3 hour cruise i think is good value.
You won’t be disappointed.
My request for a chocolate desert instead of the apple and sultana was dealt with. Thanks Lisa x
My wife did say I was missing out as that pudding was equally nice as my chocolate cake.
The cruise made a nice change and was also very relaxing.
One thing I think you need as you exit the boat though is a ‘Tip box’ for the great service the staff gave.
Well done all

Lovely Evening Trip

To start I would recommend to do this trip when the evenings are light, but we went 10th October so was dark but this did not take away from a lovely evening. Food was good and drink prices were reasonable.

Relaxing Evening with Excellent Food

My friend and I visit Stratford every September for a theatre break. We have tried to eat on the Countess on previous visits, but it has always been fully booked. This time we were lucky and managed to book for the dinner cruise on Friday evening. We were not disappointed. It is a wonderfully relaxing evening cruising along the river whilst enjoying a tasty and well-cooked meal. The staff were pleasant and attentive and the atmosphere calm and cosy. We thought it very good value for a 3-course meal and a 3 hour cruise and hope to do it again on our next visit to Stratford.

Wonderful cruise

I loved the lunch trip. Food was awesome specially desert. Views were nice. Good staff. Centrally heated. Enjoyed. N I Hv a memorable bday. Thankew so much.

Lovely Cruise

We had a Sunday lunch cruise and it was very enjoyable. The food was excellent, we had tomato soup and fresh chunky bread for starters and it was delicious - that's from someone who usually doesn't like tomato soup! For mains I had the salmon and my husband had the chicken, both brought out piping hot. Desert was apple and sultana crumble with cream (though not fresh cream, it was sweeter).

The cruise was pleasant, though we had to wait 20 mins or so to get through the second lock, but it didn't bother us, you have to expect these type of delays. We stopped for 15 mins at Luddington lock which was just enough to stretch your legs and was a pretty place. The whole cruise was 3 1/2 hours for us. We would love to do it again, even though at 50ish, we were almost the youngest on the cruise!

Relaxing meal

My gift voucher came after 2 days, it was easy book a place via email and it was easy to find the boat in the centre of Stratford. The boat was lovely with nice decor and clean, spacious male and female toilets. The food was quite nice. But the views and atmosphere were lovely. Very relaxing lunch. Bought another gift voucher already.

Really lovely!

From the moment we boarded we were looked after so well. This was a 3 hour round trip with a brief break to disembark after the main course. The food was delicious, the tomato soup tasted homemade and the mackerel parfait was delicious. Main course of a large breast of chicken was beautiful with accompanying vegetables. My daughter had the vegetarian option and LOVED it. I don’t know how they managed in such a small galley kitchen. Dessert was either bread and butter pudding or cheese. We had both! It was all lovely and as it was my husband’s birthday they’d put birthday sprinkles on the table. It was a truly lovely relaxed trip. We had all the supplements, bottle of Prosecco, g and t’s and copious amounts of soft drinks and it was about £180 for 4 of us for 4 courses plus the boat trip and the drinks we had - really good value for money.
